  1. Dear Rev. Eileen, Thank you for your Easter message. We are also enjoying your contributions to the Forward Day by Day devotionals. We are certainly praying for your and your team in the Houston area. And we are claiming the promises that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46. We are celebrating our 34th anniversary working in the Portuguese – speaking part of Latin America here in Brazil. I had worked for a Spanish radio show out of Puerto Rico, then moved to the Dominican Republic, and finally Peru before I moved to Brazil in 1983. There I met my wife and began our work here. We have done non-profit work, and for the last 25 years we have managed social projects all over Brazil, Most recently we have been teaching English to children at risk here at the Anglican Social Center in Novo Gama, a shanty town outside of the capital Brasilia. I would love to hear from you personally how God called you to the ministry. And if you are interested I could sent you my testimony more in detail. Take Care, Owen and Sidsel Thomas in Brasilia.
